Please read all Terms & Conditions and sign below before commencement of our first session.
Confidentiality & Privacy
Aunty Sally provides a professional and confidential service. Client details will not be disclosed to third parties.
You agree that Aunty Sally may refer to our sessions with no identifiable information when discussing Aunty Sally’s services with a third party (e.g. “a client that needed help with a cluttered home office”).
Aunty Sally may request to take photos of you and/or your family, or request a testimonial. This will only be undertaken and the material published on the Space Decluttered website, social media channels and marketing material with your knowledge and explicit consent.
Any information or discussion between both parties will remain confidential.
Disclaimer
Suggestions are given in good faith and without pressure. It is always the client's decision whether or not to follow any suggestions made. Therefore, Aunty Sally cannot accept responsibility for actions taken on the basis of that suggestion or encouragement or their consequences whether at the time of consultation, engagement in the supporting process, or at any subsequent or future date following any engagement or consultation.
Client’s property
Aunty Sally commits to handling their clients’ home and belongings with the utmost care and respect.
Aunty Sally commits to caring, speaking and interacting with other family members with the utmost respect and politeness.
Insurance
Accidents can happen and Aunty Sally will not be liable for losses or damages of any kind during or related to our session. All clients are expected to carry insurance to adequately compensate any losses or damages caused by Aunty Sally.
Aunty Sally holds public liability insurance.
Limits of Work
Aunty Sally is unable to move or lift heavy items for Health and Safety reasons. Aunty Sally is willing to undertake some light housework to assist the new family, but please note that Aunty Sally does not provide a cleaning service.
Aunty Sally is willing to care for siblings in order to assist the new parents, but please note that Aunty Sally does not provide a childminding service.
If access to your home or premises is restricted or unsafe, Aunty Sally reserves the right to charge for lost time and expenses incurred. You have a duty of care to ensure that your premises are safe to work in, and you agree to disclose any circumstances that may put Aunty Sally at risk as soon as you are aware of such circumstances.
Breaks
When sessions last more than three hours any breaks or lunch break taken away from the family will not be charged for. Aunty Sally does not expect, in general, to take specific breaks.
Session Length
At the point of booking Aunty Sally and the client will discuss the number of hours and/or sessions of support required to help the family feel confident to be left. However, you agree that this is an estimate and may vary (whether more or less time).
If it looks like we might run over the estimated time of a session, we will discuss whether to extend the session or book an additional session for another time.
Location & Access
Aunty Sally reserves the right to charge an additional fee for some locations. This fee will be based on mileage and time of travel. This fee will be confirmed prior to booking.
Payment Terms
Birth support
A deposit of 30% is required to confirm the booking. Full payment is required at 38 weeks gestation. If you require additional visits, other than the two antenatal visits, the birth and one postnatal visit, my hourly rate plus travel expenses will be charged.
Postnatal support
An hourly rate will be charged. A complete fee will be charged based on the estimate of hours needed and a 30% deposit paid to confirm the booking. The balance can be paid weekly upon receipt of an invoice which can also include extra travel costs (if required) and shopping (upon receipt given). If more hours are required then these can be paid weekly. Aunty Sally will provide an invoice and you can pay with cash or preferably by bank transfer.
Aunty Sally reserves the right to increase fees at any time. Existing customers will be given at least 31 days’ notice of any rate changes and any sessions booked prior to a rate increase will be unaffected by the rate increase.
Contract and Cancellation
Birth Support
I will make every effort to provide the services described above. It may be that external circumstances may limit my availability (for example rapid labour). If failure to attend your birth is due to my misjudgement or unavailability, only the retaining fee is payable. But, if it is due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control or negligence on your part (e.g. you call me too late or choose to keep vital information from me) the full fee applies. If you cancel this contract less than six weeks before your due date, the full fee applies.
Postnatal Support
If the client cancels the postnatal agreement once it has been signed, but before work was due to commence and before the baby is born, a cancellation fee (the non-refundable deposit) paid upon signing the contract will be charged. If the client cancels the agreement once the baby has been born, because she has changed her mind about the support she needs, the client is liable to pay the Aunty Sally 50% of her total earnings (estimated at the time of booking) in compensation for the work the doula could have otherwise taken on.
